How Many Times Can A Man Turn His Head?

Designed by Mark Welland Sponsored by Designed by Mark Welland

"How Many times can a man turn his head, pretending he just doesn't see?"

Those that know the song will know the reference. Drawing on a song that has ambiguity in it's meaning allowed Mark to associate his usual work with an oak tree leaves in a manner that asks the viewer to question the association between the title and the form of the image. It asks us to look with an open enquiring mind. It's a simple thing to do and something we take for granted as children. It's what some of our fondest memories are made of and very often become a shared experience with those closest to us.

Like leaves caught in the breeze, the answer may be 'Blowin' in the wind'.
