The woods come alive in the inky blackness, the silence brings much activity, the snuffling of the hedgehog searching for an evening delight. The burrowing, stocky badger investigating above his set. The design flows over my horses muscles defining by colour and line. Each illustration reflects the animals character. The young fern spirals open in an abstract form with seed pods gathering.

After studying at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, Cheryl followed her passion for horses giving her intimate knowledge of her painting subject, enabling her to capture emotion and movement on paper.
